Check Swings

IMO, it's just much more sensitive this year...and I like it. At first, I was having the same problem as you, getting pretty mad at some of the check swings I was getting called for strikes. It seems to me that there are 2 significant factors making it more difficult: (1) the swing button is more sensitive this year, so an even lighter press is necessary for the correct check, and (2) as you go up in difficulty, the timing window to check becomes smaller and thus more difficult (as you prob already know).


Personally, though, after having played close to 100 games now, I actually like it much better than in the past. Before, in an online match or match against another human, for example, a player could check swing almost all game getting kind of an advantage on the pitcher. Now, it's much more difficult to do that, and making the play much more realistic IMO. It's even more important now to see the pitch well and out-think the pitcher to get a sense of what's coming and where.

I don't know if they are more difficult. Sometimes I have a hard time checking my swing and others I think it checks it when I didn't think it would. I think it could be refined and more consistent for sure.

Maybe that's the variable umpire in effect?
