Pitcher stamina when simming half innings

I wanna play every game but alternate hitting only one game, then pitching only the next. And I'd always play the 9th inning on regardless. The problem is pitcher stamina does not work when doing this. Kluber was at 97 pitches and still had a 1/4 bar left on his stamina bar.

Cueto had 130 pitches and still going. I tried lowering SP stamina to zero but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on how to workaround this?

Could you switch teams and manually take em out?

Re: Pitcher stamina when simming half innings

I thought about that..****nning some tests now. Chose Tigers vs Red Sox and simulated half innings. Shane Greene(71 rated stamina) with 96 pitches was running out of energy. Wade Miley (83 stamina) was at 110 pitches when his stamina bar was empty. Does that sound right??

This is with SP stamina slider at zero. If I leave it at 4 like what I have when I play the pitching portion they can easily pitch a CG with energy left. This is why it's necessary to have SP and RP stamina at zero when simming any games in your franchise just fyi...

Re: Pitcher stamina when simming half innings

I'm gonna test again using quick counts. I play with QC on anyway. Indians vs Orioles; Kluber vs Chen.

Chen was knocked out after 5ip giving up 8 hits and 5 runs. He was at 83 pitches and stamina looked good. I think QC helps. Kluber pitched 96 pitches on 7.1ip and stamina looked pretty reasonable for him.

I guess I kinda figured out the best I can do. QC on and pitching stamina all on zero. Sorry for the quick post! Thanks

Re: Pitcher stamina when simming half innings

I think I figured out the problem. Even though I am controlling a team, the game recognizes my pitcher as a cpu when I sim. So I have to leave SP stamina at zero for the cpu and human no matter what. That's why why I tested it looked fine because I simmed everything.

Problem is the pitcher I play with or hit against may lose stamina too quickly. We'll see cuz I'm about to play with Kluber with stamina at zero.

EDIT- Colin Mchugh had 113 pitches thru 8.1ip and still had just a tad bit of energy. He is rated 75 stamina :/ not good.
