There is no magic formula. You're not going to become a good hitter or player in a matter of minutes. You have to keep playing the game and keep learning. Be patient.

If you're a novice and really can't hit then I suggest directional. You don't need to know exactly where the ball is, just the general area, and time it decently. I stuck at this game but have had the best results with direction. You don't have as much control but it's not like you have none.
