Video explaining what Clutch does in MLB The Show

What do you think?

Have you noticed it helping at all? In the past it was always the last thing I trained and I noticed no correlation for my guys with high clutch hitting better with RISP.

This also explains the update a little more and why some guys are rated higher than others despite their main attributes being a bit worse.

Re: Video explaining what Clutch does in MLB The Show

This is all anecdotal/what-I-think-I'm-seeing, but I seem to notice it more with my pitchers than my hitters.

My pitchers with low clutch start coming apart if some runners get on. I swear it lowers their confidence faster or something, making them more susceptible to snowballing against them. Jose Fernandez might give up some not-so-clean innings but minimal damage. A fictional young pitcher might end up giving up 2 runs each time or give up a big inning while Fernandez might "dance through raindrops" successfully in his outing.

I usually only care about clutch for hitters when it comes to late-inning pinch hit chances among similar hitters. I mean, if Stanton or Davis had the day off but they could help in a PH situation, I'm using them even if they had 0 Clutch, but from a bunch of contact hitters - I'll pick the higher clutch in a lot of cases.

I can't say it does a whole lot but it might be mostly when I care about it or notice it one way or another.
