GM goals, Carry over and franchise...

ok i was just thinking about this... and need to know..

with the ability to carry over our franchises from year to year into the next years games... do our GM goals go with us every year as well or not... because it would make sense for that to be a part of year to year saves...

it would be pointless to have them and not have them carry over and to have them be new every year... like right now i am going into year two of my current GM Goals going into 16.

when the new games comes out will my goals that i have already achieved be erased or will they be apart of the new expanded version of GM Contracts...

I would assume not this year since MLB 16 has new GM goals.

I'd bet they carry over with new ones added.

I'm with tabarnes. I'd guess they will just add new ones to your current goals. Both your accomplished and pending ones.

I wonder if they fixed the issue of being forced into GM mode when carrying over a save if you aren't using 30 team control.

well that doesn't matter (30-team control) as long as you did not disable it when setting up your franchise last year... if you did not turn it of you will always have it...

be forewarned however, if you miss one (well in 15) yearly goal you will not be asked back by your own team... you will have to choose a new team to help build and win with..

i simmed ahead (without saving) through my contract and lost it due to not winning my division three straight years..... so just be forewarned you have to meet every goal there is for you to get a contract offer from your own team...

Unfortunately this is true. I had an extra save and simmed a head on my Cubs franchise that I'm 6 seasons in and continued from mlb 14 so I was forced to have the freaking GM goals turned on. Here were my results with the Cubs:

2014: 72-90
2015: 93-69 lost divisonals
2016: 101-61 champ
2017: 104-58 champ
2018: 99-63 lost divisonals

Now the above got me a contract extension for 3 years with the goals of divison winner and WS title. My simmed seasons were this:

2019: 101-61 lost divisonals
2020: 85-77 lost WC
2021: 100-62 lost nlcs

This resulted in getting fired. So in 8 years I won 6 divisions, 2 WS, 4 100 win seasons and 6 90 wins seasons and got fired. That's ridiculous and needs to be addressed. Hopefully the expanded goals help. I'm just mad because if you carried over from 14 this was forced on you. I always turn them off because pretty much on every sports game it gets to the point where you have to win a title every couple of years.

How do you think the new stats will be affected by carrying over a MLB 15 save? Will they carry over or will everything just be 0?
