Re: BUG? Vines don't grow at Wrigley in Franchise

I think I've noticed a common link to the green/brown ivy differences at Wrigley.

Like others, when I started a Cubs chise, opening night against the Reds, the Ivy was green. But unlike others, the next game, it was still green! But in the 3rd game of the series it was brown like it should be. But then in the first game of the Rockies series it was green again. What gives? Game 2 of the Rockies series? Brown again? What in the world is going on here???

I noticed that each game the ivy was green, I had changed the weather from what it defaulted to in the pregame setup. And the games it was brown, I just accepted the weather that was randomized in the pre game setup. I can't say this is absolutely true, but it seems to be related. One game I changed from clear to overcast. Another from partly sunny to clear. etc.

Sure seems to grow quickly between April 30th and May 1st.

Are you using 30-team control? If so you have to simulate each game before you play. Kind of a hassle but literally takes 10 seconds. It's well worth it to prevent dumb CPU trades.

I want more CPU trades, personally. Even moving the slider up one click, I've only seen one and I'm almost halfway through my season.

Gonna assume bug till we hear otherwise. That feature is one of the coolest "little things" in the entire game. I'd be shocked if they ditched it intentionally.

I'm just going to add a little more information to this thread.

I'm going into the end of April in my Cubs franchise and I have yet to see brown ivy. Always fully green.

Keep in mind that I don't play every game, I play only about one game per series on average and sim the rest. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but its more information if nothing else.

I've also never adjusted the default weather.
