Most are saying it's happening on sharply hit line drives, could they be auto diving to avoid being doubled off and then the animation just takes to long for them to recover from?

It certainly is a possibility but the thing is I played last night and didn't notice any runners diving back to the base when hitting a line drive through the infield. The only difference between what I'm seeing and the OP is seeing is that he is using Power Swing which I am not.

As strange as it seems, I'm wondering if power swing has something to do with this, because as of right now, it seems that it does.

I haven't seen it either but I don't hit a lot of line drives

Last night it happened to me on a grounder that bounced halfway to the pitcher. It skipped past him into CF and my runner was thrown out by a mile at 2B.

Is this while using assisted/manual baserunning?

It may not necessarily be Power Swing that's causing it; it may be more tied to the Hit Speed. In other words, by using Power Swing I am able to hit the line drives harder (in terms of Hit Speed), and perhaps a certain Hit Speed line drive through the infield is causing the dive backs...

Last night was manual, I've had it happen on auto baserunning too though.
