MLB the show 14 - drafted players positions changing

Hey guys, so I just picked up the show 14 because I'm cheap and still rolling with my PS3. I'm halfway through July in my franchise, so I'm past the player draft and everything. I drafted a 2nd baseman with 98 potential and his listed secondary positions were everything except pitcher and catcher which is the main reason I grabbed him. But now I went back into the screen where you sign them and he only has 2b as his listed position. What happened to all the secondary positions that were listed when I drafted him? Will they come back next season when he's officially on my roster?

So his secondary positions changed, without you manually editing his secondary positions?
That should have been the only reason it changed.

Correct. While in the draft looking at his player card it showed all of the infield positions as secondary positions. But now after the draft where I go into the screen to sign the rookies and open his player card he has no secondary positions listed. And I haven't done any manual editing

His secondary positions will show up again when he is added to your actual roster after this season. I don't know if it's a bug, but it is still this way in the newer Show's. For whatever reason they won't show the secondary positions for players in the sign rookies page.

Oh cool. Thanks man. I mean he has super high potential so it wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't have secondary positions, but hrs definitely more valuable to the franchise if he can play multiple positions
