Two Questions:

Is there any indication from SCEA that this is on their radar for inclusion in the game?

Does the community even have an interest in having the WBC in the game for 2017?

I think it would be great if it was in.

I Doubt it. The release date is a good indication. 2017 wbc is 3/9/17 through 3/22/17 and the show comes out on the 28th

If I'm not mistaken, Konami has the rights to the World Baseball Classic.

No actually id just about guarantee that if it included a "wbc mode" it would release along with the start of the wbc.

MLB wont let the SCEA release the Show that early anymore and I dont believe MLB runs the WBC either , so if by long shot SCEA added the WBC in the future you wouldnt get the Show a week earlier without MLBs go-ahead . But it wouldnt have to be released then because those who would play WBC mode wouldnt just play it in the week or two leading up MLBs Opening Day . They would most likley play it well into the summer and probably the fall also . Thereby negating any 'need' to release the Show any earlier than it presently does . Having said all that I still wish the Show would go back to releasing when ST games begin . Now those were the good old days .

This is correct. The question is, will Konami use it this year? But that's for a different thread.

It would be a cool feature to add into the franchise mode similar to how FIFA lets you also manage an International team... Even if it is a Generic "International Baseball Cup" or something like that.

It could be a cool thing to look forward to if your franchise mode got stale.
