I was incredibly impressed by the steelbook when I first saw it (whoever came up with the design deserves a bonus) and joined the official The Show forum specifically to request that they fix the Amazon pre-order for it. I gave them a lot of credit on here for the great design and was nothing but positive regarding it. It was pretty much the only aspect of Junior being the face of this year's game that mattered to me. (FYI, go listen to the Simpsons commentary on the episode where Junior has some lines if you want to know what to expect from his voice work abilities in Retro mode. lol)

I buy the game for gameplay and immersion (stadiums, unis, etc) so learning that they didn't bother to include his correct jersey in either the game or the steelbook is a bummer for me. The steelbook is indeed just a steelbook but I would have considered it a great collector's item had they gotten the jersey right. Pardon me if my disappointment makes the forum too negative for you.

I purchased the steel book last year, figured I'd like to at least have a steel book to add to my shelf with all the other Show titles since 2006.

While the HOF Edition looks cool, it'll be standard for me this year. Like dude, just give me the game lol.

My post specifically referred to a change to this edition (and the MVP edition as well) that had not been featured in a teaser video before today's release as far as I'm aware. Otherwise, yes, this is all old news. Kind of odd that Gamestop wouldn't make this the first or second in their series of Gamestop Monday teasers.

I too have my Angels hat from 07 and got it on my wall, never actually worn it.

And opposite to you I will definitely wear that hat and display it because Griffey Jr is my all time favorite player and the Ken Griffey Jr baseball game on the N64 was my very first baseball game

Still have my hat from '06 and still wear it occasionally. I see people mentioning '07, but mine was definitely from '06 as it has the game's logo from that year on it. Don't remember if they did that hat thing in both years.
