Chase Field is Getting a Humidor

The Arizona Diamondbacks are installing a humidor, which will be ready in a few months. Here is an article This will increase pitcher grip/spin and decrease exit velocity. Might be something the Devs are interested in.

Huh. I knew Chase Field was very hitter-friendly, but I didn't think it was THAT bad. Especially since the D-Backs, in their short history, are known for amazing pitching, despite their stadium.

Of course, this begs the question--do the devs take Coors Field's humidor into account? It's still the best hitter's park ever even with it, but is it still a factor?
Speaking of, while looking for videos on said humidor, I found this old Rockies commercial that I, for one, find really funny:

Real life baseball discussion alert: In the early 2000's sure. But the last ten years haven't been amazing, aside from a couple of standout guys here and there. http://www.baseball-reference.com/te...itchteam.shtml

Looks like a desperation move hoping to give their two major flops (Zack Greinke and Shelby Miller) any kind of assistance.

Nailed it... hahahahah

Actually, they've been looking at this for years, the timing is just now. It should be done in 4-6 weeks.

Re: Chase Field is Getting a Humidor

They should put humidors at every stadium, then they really could do something about the pace of play. Or they could just raise the mound height back to what is was before the 1970's.
Anyone ever notice Vasgersian talk about the humidor at Coors? Or any of the other Show announcers, past or present?

I just figured they got the humidor to keep the cigars in to hand out to the Dodgers while they play in the pool.

When did the new TV contract kick in? Last year? We probably looked over all the options the past year or so and finally picked what we wanted.
