RTTS: Pitcher Sub Logic Flawed

Pretty much unless you have a shutout you're going to get PH for after the 6th inning. My pitcher has 84 stamina and 80 durability with the stamina perk. I just had a start where I gave up 2 solo homers but that was it. I had 62 pitches after the 6th but was PH for in the 7th. I have yet to make it past the 6th inning if I have given up more than 1 run. Even more frustrating is that I've had several outings where I pitched the 6th inning, hit in the 7th only to be relieved in the bottom of the 7th. My batting attributes are zeroed across the board. No manager at any level would allow someone who can't hit to hit only to relieve him in the next inning.

Any tips for not getting subbed other than changing sliders?
