June Draft - Why do players (and entire positions) disappear ?

Why do players who are scout-able disappear during the actual June draft?

Also, I used a fictional roster I downloaded and there were tons of scout-able players. When I got into the first June draft entire positions were empty. Does anyone know why this would happen?

Take a look at the ages of the players that are disappearing. They'll be in the following years' scoutable players again. This is because they elect to go to college, or stay in school another year, much like real life.

They'll be draftable at some point, just not immediately like you'd like.

This. In 2020 I finally got to draft a 99 OVR pitcher that i originally uncovered in like 2015 or 16.
