Re: Official MLB The Show 18 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Year 3 of The Mantheny Manifesto is back!
The Red Birds are seeking to return to the World Series for the second time in 3 years. We are off to a 7-5 start and head into The Great American Ballpark to face division rivals in The Reds. It should be another great season as we look to bounce back from a heart breaking game 7 loss in the NCLS in 2017. I will check in here from time to time with some updates. I really love this team. I will post my most current depth chart here soon. It is a heck of squad.

The Matheny Manifesto Year 3 News Update
The Red Birds are off to an okay start in April sitting in first place with a 12-10 record. Feeling like they need to make a move they consummated a big trade with the A’s. The rumor mill was raging about a potential Starling Marte for Noah Syndagard deal....however this is the deal that ended up happening.
The Cardinals send:
CF - Byron Buxton (A Potential)
LHP - Daniel Norris (B potential)
The Oakland A’s send:
RHP Noah Syndagard (A Potential)
Byron Buxton has been buried on the bench and wants to be a full time starter. Daniel Norris feels like he should be a rotation starter but is a long reliever in St Louis.
The A’s now have Buxton joining Christian Yellich, and Giancarlo Stanton to form a scary looking OF.
The Cardinals get a potential Ace to join Danny Salazar and Yordano Ventura along with Kenta Madea and Steven Matz. LHP Carlos Rodon was moved to the bullpen.
Re: Official MLB The Show 18 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Its that time of the year again, and due to my baseball fever - I had to go ahead and do a draft. I figured why not start something up to play while I wait for the show 19 to drop, that I can upload and start playing right away while I wait for the OSFM rosters to do my Marlins fantasy draft. Anyway...
I chose the Red Sox, and simmed all the way until 18 games left in the season. Figured this would be a good spot to get everything in order and play out the remainder before the release. Gonna do an update now on where were at and go from there
Re: Official MLB The Show 18 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Every Game Counts
The Red Sox are 80-64, 6 GB the Yankees for the AL East, and atop a three-way tie for the AL Wild Card. With 18 games to go, and 6 against the Yankees, every game feels like a must win at this point.
A successful draft has built a team that has luckily been carried by the bats. The pitching staff has struggled mightily, but Red Sox manager Scott Huseby has decided to keep rolling his guys out there. "The young guys are full of potential, and the rest of this rotation has a track record. Were sticking with what we've got" - said GM Joe Smith at the trade deadline.

Post Season Push
Questions linger as the Sox try to overtake the Yankees, and make a run at a championship. How will the young rookie, Will Smith, fair handling a pitching staff that has disappointed for most of the year. "We didn't plan on Will having this big of a role this year. Unfortunately Nick Hundley got hurt, and Chris just hasn't had the year we all know he's capable of" - Huesby.
Award Race
MVP - Nelson Cruz leads the MVP race, with a duo of yankees - Charlie Blackmon and Justin Upton right behind him.

Re: Official MLB The Show 18 Fantasy Draft Franchise Progress Thread
Just a couple more hours until release!! Looking at the uniforms, I’m torn between the Mets/cubs/nats to start me up a franchise with tonight. Leaning heavy cubs, then Mets & nats in that order
