For

Mitch Keller is worth $45.9 million

Starling Marte is worth somewhere in the mid $60 million surplus range.

Angels get the #15 prospect and an All-Star for their potential franchise restarting talent. I hate it, but I would sign off on it.

I agree with Bard. Trading for Ohtani is so beyond unrealistic that if you're going to do it, it has to be heavily slanted towards awarding the Angels. I have Ohtani's value higher than that on our log because he is a two-way player, even if he isn't being treated as one entirely.

Since he isn't in the game I just value him as a pitcher. If he is a hitter as well than his value is ~$157 million.

That is around what I have him at on the log (154M), I completely understand your reasoning. I have him on there at 154M partially to avoid a multitude of Ohtani trade requests given how unrealistic it is that he is moved.

Pit Acquires:
Shohei Ohtani
Ryan Schimpf
Albert Pujols

LAA Acquires:
Starling Marte
Shane Baz
George Kontos
Chad Kuhl
Kevin Newman
Brandon Phillips

I'd be willing to absorb the contract of Pujols. In the draft I have some nice talent i wanna grab. A lot of moving pieces in this deal now but trying to give Angels incentive to do it. I think i just overcomplicated myself

Also, Ohtani has a 4.57ERA. Marte is batting over .330 but lacks power. It was more "realistic" than getting Acuna from the 7-12 Braves.

I have no idea how you're going to fit all of those Outfielders on your squad. Dickerson, Parra, Desmond Blackmon, Dahl and Gonzalez.
Thanks!

Yeah, that's the biggest issue, what do I do with my plethora of outfielders. That is one area that Colorado without a doubt that does not have need nor want for. They're already loaded at OF in the majors and have a lot of promising future OF talent in the minors.

And I agree, being their starting left fielder, even if they did get him for peanuts from the Rays, they'd would make the Rockies pay out the nose for him. I know it's unrealistic as hell and I still don't even know for sure if I want to do it, just thinking about it and tossing the idea around in my head. If I were to go through it, probably one or two of Desmond, Parra, CarGo or Blackmon would end up getting traded off to make room for Dickerson.

But for now, just spit balling. I think regardless of what decision I make, I'm going to wait until closer to the trade deadline, that way I can see if I'm even still in playoff contention, if the Pirates are, and to get a better feel at the plate with the likes of Parra and Dahl and company and see if I even still want to bother trying for Dickerson at that point.

Thanks again for your help!

I haven't run numbers on any of the other outfielders but Desmond has about negative 30M surplus so if you do deal him, prepare for it to be a salary dump with no real return. Blackmon, Tapia, Dahl and Parra probably all grade better.

Looking to start a franchise with the Nats and don't want to give $400 mil to Harper. What is a realistic trade that I can pull off to move him at the trade deadline? Not sure what his value is, given his expiring contract.

My immediate thought is to look at ATL and Acuna, but not sure I want to trade him within the division.

Bryce Harper is worth ~$27 million for the 2018 season.

Ronald Acuna is worth $81.4 million.

Not getting him.

You could get a top 51-75 prospect hitter and a lotto ticket or you could push for two top 76-100 pitching prospects.
