Quick question: What do you do with arb players? For example Randal Grichuk. He is arb eligible in 19, 20 and becomes a free agent in 2021. What do you do in that case with the contract part of the formula?
It takes a bit to get used to that part of it. You have to find a similar player and see what they got paid in their arb years and use your best judgement and do a little guestimating.

Realmuto is worth 75 million in surplus and the Dodgers and Indians are unrealistic since they are loaded at catcher. The package you could get from the rockies is Rodgers and a lotto ticket. Although I still think the most realistic landing spot is with Washington

I figured I could get at least 2 top 15 prospects and then a lotto ticket considering realmuto has 3 years of control left.

Rodgers is worth 65 million himself so you defiantly cannot get two top 15 for him.

Re: MLB 18 The Show Trade Discussion

I thought trade value was based on current year and future year WAR? Why are past years being used?

you have to use something to figure out future war. How can you figure future war? Is there a formula from the future that we are unaware of. If so let us know and we will use it.
