Agreed on hitting. I'd be unhappy with some parts or all of the hitting mechanic in 15-17, but this game just feels right. Let's hope it stays that way.

HDR + 60 FPS is a HUGE leap from the old PS4.

I haven't even tried messing with the HDR settings/sliders at all. I don't even know how to go about that as they are locked I believe

Visually it's a huge step forward from the standard PS4, The Pro makes such a difference visually and game play is so smooth.I didn't think at the time it would be so different but I was wrong.

Presentation wise, this game is a huge step up from the last few years. The new camera angles, replays, between inning shots, theme-specific SOST, player emotions and new animations add SO much freshness to the game.

Gameplay wise, between the lines I think this is the best baseball game I have ever played out of the box. I have made no adjustments to sliders and playing on All Star difficulty and just enjoying every second. Hitting feels so much better than last year. I've seen more hit variety and bloops in the last few days than I have in hundreds of hours in 17. Something about the hitting and the way the ball comes off the bat is really, really improved. I also love all the new animations, especially the tags and catcher animations. I've gotten (and given up) realistic infield hits and beat out double plays that would have been auto-outs in 17 and prior due to animations.

One area that is still a downer is the rocket bunts. Fix that, and the gameplay is damn near perfect.

I hope Franchise mode gets a big upgrade next season. A fresh and improved Franchise mode next year may make this the perfect game.
