Yeah - don't increase their OBP for free.

They'll probably do it on first base anyway because, you know, they reached base

guaranteed they won't even think about "dabbing" again. So yes, it would be the solution. Hey, they can duck. Goose Gossage for commissioner

No. That doesn't do anything but prove the character of the man throwing a 90+ mile an hour projectile at an innocent person.

Good thing this rarely happens any more as the game and its audience has evolved and showing emotion is actually considered to be a good thing for the most part.

Also, it's not "dabbing"

I dont think I have seen an actual dab, it looks more like they're trying to spell out part of "YMCA".

Re: Constant dabbing

Frequency of new animations tend to be tricky on implementation in sports games I notice. Some here seem to notice more of this 'dabbing' animation as too frequent or done at inappropriate times, others don't really notice it much at all. It will always be the case as we all know they are not going to please everybody.

I remember a few years ago in Madden, they implemented more cut scenes of the coaches on the sidelines, reacting to the plays. Well, in my mind, they over did it...after every play they were showing sideline views after every play, and frequently the coach's reaction was inappropriate to the play that just happened. Also players would frequently be shown celebrating a run when they were just stopped short of the mark on third down and the punting team is coming on the field.

Contrast this with Fifa game where they introduced the goal decision system
a few years ago. In real life, you DON'T see this system called on often. In fact this PL season I think I've seen it twice in all the broadcasts. AND I thought EA got it right, as it wasn't happening often in the video game at all. Of course, there were a number of people on the boards chiming in that it either didn't exist in the video game as they hadn't seen it after playing 5-10 games, or that it wasn't used often enough. Can't please everyone.

BTW I had no idea what 'dabbing' was either so I'm glad someone asked. I would have asked myself but I had already asked on the Madden boards what "skynet' was in the game, and I think it is against the TOS to confirm you are an old fart in multiple threads.

Yeah, kind of like MLBTS17? You know, the one that you quit playing and went back to 16?

Yeah, I can't figure out what they're doing lol. I've seen something that looks like the "Y" some weird over the head, two hand double pointing. They're just absolutely random mini - celebrations.
