I've gone back and forth almost on a game by game basis as of late between directional and zone hitting. The struggle is real lol. Anyway if I want to use directional hitting is it still effective to not close an influence (left stick left, right, up or down) when trying to hit or do most of you guys who use directional always choose an influence? I just seem to have trouble trying to figure out which influence to use with certain batter and during certain times in the count so if I can just focus on timing ONLY, wouldn't it make sense for me to just swing with no influence chosen?
