Has anyone been successful with pickoff attempts in this game? I have tried many times when the cpu has runners on and never have I been able to pick a runner off. Is it possible?

Yes it's possible. It's rare, but you can successfully pick off runners. I'm not sure how many I've picked off in all the games I've played, but there are a few I would guess.

I have picked off a couple too. Usually with the quick move and once the runner takes the extra big lead.
