I think Ohtani. Topps Series 1 baseball cards have him as their player on the box and packs and SDS has a close relationship with Topps/Fanatics now.

Plus it just makes sense.

Wish we could just skip this. Are we really invested into the cover athlete? This just is another step on the way to actual info lol stop making me wait sds lol

If the live stream is from San Diego Studies but they mention the actual cover reveal to be in Time Square would it likely be a Met or Yankee. Otherwise why go to the effort to separately announce the cover athlete in New York?

I'll go with the polar bear as the cover-thlete. I'd rather see deGrom but chicks don't dig strikeouts so I'm not sure the Studio is quite ready to go with a pitcher on the cover.
I know Ohtani is the runaway fan favorite to be the cover but I don't think Sony has any better chance at getting Shohei than they did of landing Trout 5 or 6 years ago

now, having said all that, Tatis was such a great pick, I'd like to see Soto as I feel he has the best potential to bring to the cover as sort of pitchman, the same energy and fire Tatis did last year
