Re: MLB The Show 22 (PS5/Xbox Series X|S) Q&A

Quick question. I am playing on Xbox Series X and after updating from my Xbox One everything works like it used to except one thing. I used to have it when an indicator would show up when I was pitching and I could move that around to where I wanted to pitch the ball. That no longer shows up and I have exhausted all of the possible settings in the gameplay menu. The location indicator does show up on where the pitch is going to, but the cursor does not. When I move my right analog stick in a given direction, the pitch goe in that area, but what happened to the cursor?? Basically I want to change the pitch location. Thanks

Am I correct and thinking that after the 1st year in March to Oct you have the option to continue it as a full blown franchise and not just another MTO?

I started a test MTO in MLB 22 to test it out before 23 releases and wouldn't you know it right at the end of the season, the game froze when I was batting and since it auto saves every time I reload it it starts the game and then freezes, so I never got far enough to answer this question myself.

Yes after the first season of MTO, you have the option to continue it and it will turn into a typical franchise mode.

Awesome, thank you. the Tigers are going to need a rebuild, and it'll be nice to do MTO during that first year instead of simming that first year which is what I was going to do.

Quick question. Has anyone ever been able to hit a no doubt HR without the homerun camera (behind the batter) triggering (hum vs cpu)...I get why they want to floss the graphics but I would just like to see the nice broadcast view of the ball in flight like when the cpu does it. Man, that option to not have the homerun camera on back in the day is extremely missed. If there is a setting or set up option I missed please let me know.

No there isn't a way to disable the home run camera.

It would be my dream to play MLB The show with absolutely no frame rate issues.
PS5 version still has its issues but not typically during gameplay (e.g. split scene close up of pitcher and batter; playoff celebrations with entire team); don't get me wrong, the game is phenomenal and each new version is the GOAT, but I was shocked how smooth MLB The Show 17 played on "enhanced visual" mode...it would be heaven if they brought that option back.
