Re: Your Fighting Style Combo

I have to go with BJJ always - and then either KB or MT - I have to have head kicks.

But BJJ is the main tactic for me - being able to just let my opponent take me down as an offensive strategy is the best.

I have people online that charge at me with people like Rampage, and try to take me down... So I let them, I pull Rubber Guard, and then I flip to full mount. It's the best there is.

from guard, hold technique modifier and small transition - that's rubber guard. From rubber guard, DO NOT hold down the technique button and do a major transition...right to mount up!. Holding technique from there puts you into side/back position.

As long as Wrestler is my compliment, I'm fit with whatever. But I mostly use kickboxing, you can somewhat keep your opponents at a distance.

I use a boxer/wrestler and i can agree that the bjj guys are pretty tough with that rubber guard. i have found their weakness though. if you good on the ground with a wrestler then just get on top and hold them the first round. you dont even have to get a punch in. just move on them and keep them from reversing and wear that body down. normally the first time i can get in full mount after the first round its a knock out the first or second punch.

Re: Your Fighting Style Combo

I was thinking that Kickboxer/Wrestler would be an odd combo because in a way you are nullifying the Kickboxing strength but I guess Wrestling works so that you can GnP and just put yourself into advantageous positions? That's how I've been doing it. One thing I lack is submissions even though the stats are I think right around 60.

Any comments on the Boxer/Judo combo? I'm working on my Muay Thai/BJJ guy in WW division and was thinking of doing Boxer/Judo on MW division. Just wanting some ideas. Glad to see other people like Kickboxer like I do.
