There's a video interview Dana did with The Oregonian. I figure not many people will be able to watch the video at work tomorrow, so a rundown is in order:
-The UFC has signed Little Nog. Not surprising if you heard what Big Nog said recently, but this is seemingly the first confirmation that the deal is done.
-Dana was asked to rate some non-UFC fighters on a scale of 1-5 based on how much he wanted that fighter in the UFC. A bunch of guys like Aoki, Hansen, Sakurai, got 2's or 3's. He gave Mousasi a 7.
-He said that there's little chance of seeing Silva/GSP happen, as he thinks GSP is just too small. He's more likely to do Silva/Machida than Silva/GSP.
-Dana didn't seem too upbeat about a network television deal, saying he's only gonna do one if the deal is good for the UFC, but it didn't sound like there's a deal like that out there right now based on his enthusiasm speaking about it. He seemed more focused on TV deals in places like Mexico and China.
-Regarding weight classes, he said there isn't any plan to put any new ones in the UFC. The interviewer asked him about something between 205 and 265, but Dana said the one they actually considered was one at 195, but that's not happening.
-He said the WEC could see another smaller weight class or two added especially now after the interest they've received in Mexico. Dana also mentioned there's been serious talk about merging the WEC into the UFC.
I think that's everything of interest. Not everything was entirely new, but a surprising amount of information and perspective from Dana in a little video interview with a local paper.
