No he won't. Thats soft tissue damage. Those kicks aren't breaking bones or even damaging ligaments.

Yah that wasn't much of a show.
I thought Faber should've tried to take it to the ground much sooner. Didn't even try in rounds 1 & 2.

Is it wrong I liked Jimmo's dance but thought Barao was acting like a fool?

Them Nova Uniao guys not only have really good takedown defense but they also have legit, scary, world class ground games. What makes that camp really special though is that all of them are homegrown talents; not taking some guy and fine tuning him, but rather building something out of nothing. Helluva camp.

With that said, I thought Urijah could've won this fight (and picked him to do so) by mixing up the strikes and trying to keep Barao guessing with the threat of the takedown. Problem is he couldn't close the distance and he's just not that good enough of a striker to beat Barao solely in a standup fight. It was a decent technical battle but it wasn't the type of war that I was expecting. Just goes to show you how good Renan Barao is though in my opinion because the only other guy to completely outclass Faber was Aldo.

Rest of the card stunk and Ben Askren + Dan Henderson's tweets summed up the 149 main card (outside of Clements - Riddle) very well.

Matt Riddle killed the post-fight press conference with his rant about a fan spitting on him lol. Dan Hardy is gonna take him out, but I want to see that fight now.

That was hilarious. Also, they finally get Bret Hart to show up and the card was crap.

thank god i didn't pay for that. As much as i love the UFC the PPVs just never seem to be worth paying anymore these days. Add to that the fact they want people to pay for a new PPV every month its just a bit much. There are so many guys in the UFC that maybe it's starting to become overkill between the many different fighters and tv shows they have on. It's hard to get amped up anymore because it's always on.

But i feel bad for whoever shelled out money to watch that last night.

As for Faber, he's basically a gatekeeper for now. He's gotta win at least 3-4 fights in a row before getting another shot.

Their pay per views were on point the beginning of the year. I just think it happens in rotation.

They also need to bring in the yellow/red cards. No reason to let Kongo rest of the cage for the 3rd round.

LOL. UFCs 140, 142, 144 and 146 were great cards. 143 and 145 were decent. Thats more than half the PPV cards this year.

I love when people say that its "overkill." Those are going to be the same people that complained in March/April when there wasn't a card for like 6 weeks. The same folks who will complain when there isn't a card for almost a month in October/November.
