Re: Anderson Silva vs. Michael Bisping - February 27 - London

For the life of me I don't understand Anderson basically taking the fourth round off after almost having knocked Bisping dead at the end of the third. He basically just gave that round up. Bisping is in super hot water as 4th round starts and Anderson has no output in the fourth, he backs up and stands against rhe ence for like 2 minutes. So weird.

I'm curious to see the scorecards I'm gonna assume it went 1,2,4 for Bisping on all 3.

I need to watch that fight again

I stopped trusting the judges after the hometown Pickett decision

Silva is clearly the better fighter. Silva is also by far the most frustrating fighter to watch ever. I love his showmanship in the cage, just wish he would follow it up with finishes. I was rooting for the finish, he didn't deliver and I was happy to see him lose the decision.

Only caught the 5th round at the bar after watching The Witch with the wife (BTW, don't waste any time or money on that POS film. Truly one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life).

I was shocked when I saw Bisping's hands raised.
His face looked like it was menstruating. I'll have to watch the replay to see which rounds he won.

I wonder what this does for Silva's career.

Silva lost because of his own actions. Rounds 1-2 he did nothing. The rest of the fight he waited until about 1 minute left in the rounds.

The 5th was close and could have gone either way. I didn't see any fight metric numbers during the fight, but it didn't look like Silva was landing much. It was either a few stronger shots vs volume.

Anderson Silva should just retire. Judging has changed and his style of fighting no longer works in the current UFC. So unless he goes back to kill all mode like he once had years ago, he will keep losing decisions. Plus he need to realize he isn't as fast as he use to be. IF Bisping had KO power, Silva would have been KO'ed.

Reminds me of when Roy Jones Jr got old and no longer could get away with the things he use to do when he was younger. Speed is always the first thing to go. To me Anderson Silva will still be the greatest UFC fighter ever.
