Re: UFC on Fox: Emmett vs. Stephens - Discussion Thread

This main event isn't getting much love due to them being relatively unknown. But stylistically this is a competitive fight, I have a feeling a finish is almost guaranteed.. But even with a 5 round war I know this should be good.

Stephens debilitating Melendez's legs is quite memorable. Emmett is a dark horse, I thought he would beat Lamas (due to wear) but I didn't think he would savagely KO him in the first.

I am rooting for Emmett, I have always like TAM. But it feels like Stephens is the rightful favorite.

I like these TAM v Alliance fights.

I got Emmett because of his grappling giving him the edge. It's what gave Frankie the edge against Stephens.

**** knows tho. We'll see. Should be scrappy

Ain't that the truth. Yeah, he's winning, but he's got an ugly *** style and is boring to watch. He's not putting any asses in the seats, that's for sure.

Completely forgot about the TAM vs Alliance rivalry.

If Emmett KOs Stephens then I am fully aboard that train.

I'm rooting for Stephens though, been a fan since he KOed Dos Anjos.

After that trash Fox card they gave us last month, I'm glad they brought it with this one. Emmett has kind of come out of nowhere, but he definitely woke people up with his last win. Very excited to see him and Stephens go at it. Let's go!

I guess I'm the only person in the world who can see this going to a decision?

They're both very durable. Nothing would surprise me but a decision wouldn't either.

IMO you have to be a mover to beat Stephens, or a really good grappler.

I think Emmett is a decent wrestler but Stephens is underrated in that department. In order for Emmett to win he has to enter the fire and I'm not sure he will survive but we shall see.
