Re: New Franchise Video Up @ IGN (Insiders Only)

A couple of things not mentioned that I saw:

-120 years for dynasty (wow)
-In the email system, players will contact you telling you they are happy or unhappy and what you can do about it. The one player said he was really unhappy with his contract but wouldn't let it affect the team if you could do something about it.
-3 year contracts reminded me of NCAA and had the goals
-He used the Cubs and had a goal of winning a Cy Young

One thing to keep in mind, I thought I read that the majors kept tract of stats from year to year in an interview and just the minors didn't have that. Maybe he was implying that records aren't kept track for career. Like say it wouldn't say you broke the all time hr record, but you might be able to see for yourself that you did. This might just be wishful thinking though.

This looks about as deep of any franchise I have ever seen. If they add Madden's owner mode next year, it will allow you to control EVERYTHING

Listen if the no stat tracking is true ,that will be par for the course for EA. Next years game will feature" New stat tracking and HOF!!!!!"
That's typical EA marketing, should be used to it by now...

This is from the interview:

"Full minor league stats are kept at all levels, but only for one season at a time – once you start a second season, minor league statistics for Season One are not kept. "

No mention of major league stats. I seriously hope you're right.

My hunch is that major league stats are kept year to year, or how else would retirement be determined based on stats? Plus the wording from the interview also.
