Ha...because 2K needed to make a new card to try to get people to buy TBT packs...and more VC. So they just took a guy almost no one uses, who already has 2 cards out there, and jacked up his stats.

Why do we need three russel westbrooks? Why do we need three mailmans? Why do we need like 5 jordans? Same can be asked on a ton of other players...

We don't
It destroys the game especially when they have such unrealistic stats just for the shake to have something different. Same applies especially for pink diamonds etc. Malone was never a 99 player. 99 should be only MJ that means Malone should never be above 94-95
The only reason there could be a duplicate card is once every Jan-Feb to to reflect BIG real life changes in ratings (e.g antetokounmpo)Maybe even Westbrook/harden/curry. This should not be done with emerald cards, but with their original colour. I don't understand why I can not longer use Gobert as a bronze player in challenges for example.

To be honest I wish they'd release some more badass 94-96 rated Onyx's.

Give some new "endgame" players. They drop VC prices I think so they must be lacking sales or something.
