Ruby Korver

So I just got finished playing my 3rd consecutive RTTP game against someone using almost strictly 3-2/half court trap. I was able to squeak out 2 of 3 and I was doing most of the work with my bench, with Klay, PG13, and Melo. So I decided to look for someone who can live at the end of bench against man and run whenever I went up against zone. So I search Standing 3 94+ pretty much looking for a Glen Rice on the cheap and saw a Ruby Korver up for 115k. I almost never search for him but that was the cheapest I'd ever seen him up for so I picked him up. Long story short he's now my starting 2 guard. He's not on Klay's level on D but he's got enough length where you can hide him. It's only been a few games but he hits almost every shot. I don't know if it's because the entire floor, sans 1 spot near paint, is a hot zone or I've just been getting lucky, probably a bit of both, but he has been worth every penny. He's a bit pricey but if you've already got Klay and are looking for another deadeye I'd definitely pick him up.

Ive played vs him once, he went off until I switched my defensive settings. If he is open, it is money.

Every good shooter is to be honest. I'd never spend so much for a player who can only shoot and Klay is clearly a better version of him. Hondo as well, probably even Mullin.

Ruby Klay Thompson is much faster, more athletic, and a way better defender for about half the cost of Ruby Kyle Korver.

The huge increase in price isn't worth the extra 2/3 points in shooting ratings.

It's more about patch 4 than ruby Korver being that good. Tbh you can get the same production out of sliver Korver. He cost a tenth of what you paid for the ruby one.

All depends on where you're coming from, I guess. I need an elite catch and shoot guy, and Korver is just clearly better at that than Klay. He's got better hands to catch the pass, which helps him shoot faster. His shooting is all higher. Add to that, I like his release a little more. Klay's defence is great, but there's better options for rounded guys like that, like Havlicek.

Klay is perfect in his price range, but there's upgrades available. I'd definitely say Korver is worth the money for certain play styles and pocket books.
