Does anyone else avoid playing with unrealisticly rated historic players?

I see a lot of hype around Ruby cards pulled from TBT packs like JWill and Kevin Willis, but it breaks any semblance of realism with the ratings they give some of these guys. Neither of those two, for instance, ever rose above maybe quality starter in the NBA, even in their best years. If 2K had been around since 1950, never would an edition have JWill or Kevin Willis above an 85 and I just can't bring myself to play with those types of players.

It's not really that inflated, and people always wanted more historic players to be relevant to the game, I think it's a nice change to having the same inflated current day players flooding the line up

I guess it may just be my inexperience talking as this is my first 2k on next gen so I have no context for what it was like last year.

I rather see a somewhat inflated JWill or Kevin Willlis then a Diamond Luis Scola or Ty Lawson

Absolutely. It's fun to have different great cards for a change.

I love the idea of those historic player cards on steroids. I played NBA Live Mobile for a while and I liked that "special" cards are really special - with inflated stats and everything. That made those cards usable and not only a placeholder in collections. Does anyone used Kevin Willis or Muggsy Bogues before in 2k15 or 2k16? It's a fantasy card game not a realistic bball sim. I'm just looking forward to play against teams with way more diversified rosters online and not the same starting 5 guys like it was last year.

The Kevin Willis card isnt sooo out of hand imo. dude one year averaged like 18 and 10 and then like 19 and 12. i remember the devs saying certain cards represent maybe a few games in players career but still.. like the Pistons Darko card... i dont get that one at all. but he had one 16 and 5 game so i guess.
