This mode needs more content

Exactly. The only way to get "content" is luck. Other than PD Duncan (Which depending on who you ask is still luck if you don't get a BS loss or equalized) no cards take skill to get. Luck of the draw on packs, luck of the draw on BT rewards, even domination was easy this year. Last year it took me forever to get that Amethyst Scottie.

Madden challenges range in difficulty and they have really great rewards. There are also hundreds of challenges to complete. I think basketball is 100000000 better than football so it's infuriating that MUT blows MT out of the water.

I put this on Reddit but I'll add it here too.

So much needs to be added because this is such a popular mode and generates so much money for them, here are some of my ideas, a lot have been said already.

• MORE Content - Single Player and Online - Copy Madden if you have to, that game has so much MUT content and gives out great rewards, it's easy to build a competitive team just by playing the game

• In terms of content - Solo challenges (different game situations), seasons mode with solid rewards to justify the time sink, community challenges similar to Madden and Live, etc.

• Make it so only the weekly challenges rotate, all others stay active the whole year so people can complete them whenever they want, also great for people that pick up the game during the year

• REMOVE CONTRACTS - VC/MT sink and they are just an annoyance

• Remove black market, it's stupid and the way to gain entry is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, it's even worse than looking at the edges of your cards like in 2K16

• Remove Technical Fouls in Blacktop mode, they are WAY too frequent and ruin the mode

• Add a few simple things to Blacktop gameplay, maybe the ability to call some simple plays, otherwise it's just turbo cheese spam 3s all game

• Record keeping and Online Leaderboards, why can't we keep track of our record overall? NBA Live, FIFA, and NHL HUT all do this, it adds something to the mode IMO. More advanced stat tracking and maybe even similar to FIFA where they have the Lifetime stats on the card in addition to your own, people would love this

• I think pack odds were pretty decent this year, some of you seem like you want a diamond in every box you open...accept that there will always be people with stacked teams at the beginning or someone with a better lineup than you, it's life

• Aside from the "Moments" challenges, I think the ways of earning MyTeam are fairly stingy outside of playing the market, increase the rewards a bit for people that love to just grind

• Custom playbooks

• Add a jersey selection screen and add in the ability to have alternate uniforms, so many dopes online like to make ridiculous courts and clashing uniforms, it's childish and ruins the game

• Add in Online Tourneys in game for rewards, maybe a MyTeam Champions mode similar to FIFA, 2K wants to push eSports so that's a step

Many more ideas but this is a start, if they add in even half of these I'll consider 2K18 MyTeam a success

You forgot the single most ridiculous thing about MT this year. The screwed up matchmaking and calculation of team overalls. An all-ruby team with one DI is a 99 overall, and an all-PD/DI team is also a 99 overall. In addition, mismatched difficulities and the equalizer bull**** have literally ruined this game for me. I could swear my hairline has gotten thinner, I destroyed one controller and snapped in half my disc. Never before has a game been so awful and so frustrating. Skill literally does not matter in some games. An all-DI squad should be able to brutally destroy an emerald/sapphire squad, yet every time I get matched up with a literal all-emerald/sapphire team there is so much tomfoolery going on I may as well throw my PS4 out the window.

I do not want you to handicap my mother****ing teams 2k. I think this year they decided to prioritize the speed of matchmaking above all else, and they tried to fix the resulting mismatches in the team ratings by a BRUTAL handicapping/equalizer system. This NEEDS TO GO. There cannot be a repeat of the ruby league in 2k18.

Also, publish your damn pack odds. It's the law. I doubt they will until someone sues them. What ridiculous greed.

I don't understand the formula that they use for calculating Team OVR in the game.

The calculation that occurs in 2KMTC's Team OVR seems to have some granularity. I.e. one can have a 99 All Diamond Team and also a 95 All Diamond Team.

I don't like beating up on much worse teams in MTO. Last night, I got matched up with a Ruby-ish squad while using my god squad. Guy quit around halftime. So then I switch over to a lineup with a few Diamonds, and then mostly Amethyst and some Ruby...and get matched up with a squad even more godlike than my best squad.

I'd LOVE to be able to play not just god squad vs. god squad, but also be able to take an Emerald/Sapphire team and face something similar.

I just faced a squad of all rubies and amethysts. Got my **** ****ing blown out. I was running an all-diamond squad with HAKEEM AND KAREEM and still got ****ed on the boards. **** this mother****ing ruby league. I've never yelled so loudly in my life. God mother****ing damn it. Tried 2-3 zone, tried scoring only on the inside, **** you 2k sports. The entire development team, those stupid ****s, should be fired.

My take on this repeated denial of the equalizer - you fall in one (or more) of the following 3 categories:

1) You don't play the game much. You don't have an appreciation for how the game should feel, and therefore you don't notice when things go against you (or for you) that are beyond normal gameplay.

2) You are a bad player with a bad lineup. Anything that goes your way must be nice, considering you're always expecting the worst.

3) You have a level of cheese that is so high, the game cannot stop you. The equalizer works hard against you only so far as you're attempting to play basketball, but if you're hard spamming one type of dribble move or a weird pick play, or an off ball screen that gets you a bucket every time, you won't notice the equalizer.

I would have liked to have seen a prestige mode for Domination. Or allow us to play Domination multiple times to pick up the remaining rewards after completing each Domination cycle.
