Where Do Free Agents Come From in MyLeague

Maybe this is a stupid question but I was wondering as you progress through seasons in MyLeague where do the free agents come from? Are they auto generated or do they come from the undrafted in the draft classes?

Obviously I know some will come from guys who already have a history in the league.

Do they also progress/regress in skill?

I just wondered how much control over the free agent pool we have in that mode.

I've always assumed they come from draft classes. There's 150 players in a class so makes sense they'd be in FA

As you stated some come from players already on the league. The other free agents come from current draft class players and additional undrafted players.

Each year the game automatically retires a certain amount of players from the most recent draft class based on overall. Some of them stay in the free agent pool and are joined by the next batch of undrafted players and the cycle continues.

The players in the free agent pool do progress/regress. Often times, vets that have reached their peak end will sit in free agency for two or three years constantly declining until they a low 60s overall and then will usually be forced out of the game by the CPU.
