Probably just need to mess around with it, to see. I know the devs said the hardship rule is in the game, it was in one of the blogs before release. Granted, it wouldnt be the 1st time, they have lied, and said something, is in the game, and it not be true If I were you I would report it in the bugs thread, and get a hold of a dev somehow, thru social media, incase it is broke and not working. I dont do social media crap, or I would report it for you.
Ive not started a MyLeague yet, so Ive not noticed the issue.
