In 2k20 you could press and hold the stick in any direction to pull up for a jumper. You can't do that in 2k21. They changed the stick scheme to favour holding up, right and left for dribble moves, and relegated shooting to just one direction - down on the stick, or alternatively with the button.

I'm used to all the previous 2k's where you could hold the stick in any direction to shoot. Far more control.

Glad we're going back to that for 2k22.

I bought the game but it's still in the shrink wrap. I'm reading up on as much classic team info as I can before I open it.

Yeah im thinking about it too...just wasnt expecting almost 300 players missing to be honest.

I will probably start editing the classic teams tonight, starting with the Bulls 1996.

Accessories, Shoes and Sig shots for the most important players will be included.

If it helps, I am starting a 1979-80 roster for PS5 tonight. I took a long break from roster editing but one I saw some of the new players they added I broke down :-) Gonna give Micheal Ray Richardson and David Thompson a second chance.

I'm on the fence about the game.

Might take it back. So much stuff missing compared to 2k20. Tons of jumper varieties from pull ups to hop shots to dribble moves are gone in place of a few sig moves for star players.

I think I'm gonna call it a day with 2k now and stick with 16 or 20. I'm tired of them giving us a few new things only to take away tons of stuff. They should be adding to the content, not removing or replacing.

Feeling deflated as the game itself plays quite smoothly.
