Hard cap in MyLeague

What are you guys using for hard cap? The default value of 100?

Would really appreciate a good insight on this! I hate where you can sign a free agent then immediately resign a player who was on your prior roster given the luxury tax which is easy to scheme around.

I went with 80 since the real NBA's soft cap is 63 million. It still gives you space to go over but not crazy over.

Well the real NBA doesn't have a hard cap that's why the Nets were able to go WAY over a couple of years ago with Pierce, Garnett, etc...

Their only penalty was to pay a high luxury tax that was over a 100 million. But when you have a wealthy owner like them who doesn't care to pay it it doesn't really work as planned.

The real NBA is considering a hard cap with the next CBA to try to level things out.

This would make things alot more interesting....... The NBA draft would be a alot more intriguing.

The NBA DOES have a hard cap. It's just high enough to where you never notice.

No they don't. A hard cap is a limit that cannot be exceeded whatsoever. The NBA will allow you to exceed the soft cap with different rules and if you go beyond that all you have to do is pay a luxury tax.

And as far as not noticing it, how does that affect the league from not STATING what that figure is regardless if it is ever achieved or not?
