Slider gurus I need you!

I jus can't play this game outside of my career anymore. The fact that I can go off with any post player and not receive any extra attention is driving me nuts. Does any slider help the CPU in doubling, rotating, digs etc? The funny thing is I'll hear the announcers say, they gotta run another guy at him and force the ball out of his hands. I'm yelling at my tv" yes yes listen to them". Lol. Sadly they never do.
