Hey Armor,

I plugged your sliders in and played a game.

(CPU) Pelicans: 116
(Me) Cavs: 105

This was my first full game of 2k18 and I am so stoked for this year. I've been playing a lot of 2k ever since 2k14.

A couple things I would address to the sliders is upping inside shot success for USER...only a couple points increase.

There will still be plenty of testing to do with these before I stick to a slider set but I just wanted to thank you for this base!

Am I going to have to turn off this Adaptive Coaching Engine to get the CPU to stop changing my matchups? I like the idea of ACE in theory but it does not seem to understand there is a reason I keep switching Ben Simmons onto John Wall and that I would like for it to stick, haha.

Beta Version Update 1.2


What has changed (on the OP +/- in () indicates how much it changed from previous version).

CPU:

Inside Shot Success to 53 (from 50)
Layup Success to 55 (from 50)
Durability to 75 (from 50)


Hum:

Inside Shot Success to 55 (from 50)
Layup Success to 60 (from 50)
Durability to 75 (from 50)


Fouls (same for both Hum and CPU)

Over The Back to 60 (from 50)
Loose Ball Frequency to 65 (from 60)


The game is playing amazingly and we are taking a hard look at player durability and injuries.

I am testing My League injury severity sliders at 25 for both the CPU/HUM
Career Ending at 10
Injury effects at 45

I couple that with Durability at 75 for both the CPU/HUM.

So far through simulations.......injuries are far more realistic.....there are still plenty around the league, and some star power also being affected.....but it is not over the top like on default.

Keep in mind if you are seeing injuries getting (In your opinion as it is your universe) out of hand you can simply edit that player to healthy or a less severe injury.

You can use a random number generator on occasion when a big name star goes down and you just don’t want to see a season ender for that particular player. Again...your universe. It is totally up to you.

Here is an example of how you could employ this.

Let’s say you are the Cav’s.......and Lebron goes down with a ruptured achilles heal. Out for the season. You can live with it.....or you can say....hey I am going to give him a 2 month injury or a 1 month injury.

Set the random number generator to 1-100

1-33 = 2 month injury
34-100 = 1 month injury

Yeah I have some injuries but so do other teams. I am 0-5 and getting beat worse and worse by the game. Weak bench you are in trouble.

I just see more contact leading to ball handlers losing the ball more, but 1 game after patch I wouldn't raise alarm bells.

Why the up on layups? I really didn't see an issue like others post, but maybe the CPU goes away from feeding the post if we don't up. I have only played 1 team that should have punched it inside a little (New Orleans). Made a trade and they have Embild, Davis, Okafor and Cousins. Lucky he is hurt because the defense inside is so tough even though I can abuse Okafor at will which is real life. Look forward to plugging into today. Only thing about running whole league is I don't get the game time as others.

Will these sliders work overall if I switch from Real Player FG/FT% to Shot Stick timing???
