Keep having this problem I wonder if other people are too. Once or twice a game. I foul a3 point shooter. A lot of times their decent 3 point shooters .

I don’t see anyones meter anymore???? I’m the only meter in town these days….lol.

So…..either……

A) everyone has turned off the meter for that little bit of extra green window

Or

B) what I think has creeped back in is that people have gone back to real player % again for shooting to get extra layer of cheese to there game……

One thing I haven’t seen yet, hopefully it’s gone is when everyone would just turn off subs all together and ride the starting 5 the whole game and call 6 timeouts late in the third quarter (you vets know those guys).
Or are they waiting for me in GOAT. ??
I don't use the shot meter. I thought turning it off was the consensus? Less effective and distracting. Using real player % is crazy but I'm sure some do it.

I'll fess to not always going major bench mins depending on roster. I'm usually playing my top several players 18+ mins. Easy to do at a normal pace and not spamming sprint.

Too bad that 2K can’t make this mode like PGA Tour 2K. Strip away any buffs that when you play it’s all about knowledge and skill but it’s extremely hard as there’s just too much variables in this game.

It's cheese in all the leagues. I've gotten to hall of fame before and beat it in past 2k games. It's no different than any other league. 98.7% of opponents I come across cheese.

That why I didn't understand the whole freshman hall of fame thing. Are there gonna be good Cheesers in hof....sure. Are there good cheesers in freshman or any other league for that matter.....sure.

I agree with you, most opponents want to use the best teams to get the W. Now if they said when you get to the nba or hof league, you'll come across more high iq players that run plays, make adjustments on defensive, have good onball skills. Then I would say your onto something. But if I'm just gonna get there to see the same 2/3 offball defense and 5 out pnr. Well I see it in freshman league, I see it in my team. I've won games against it, I've lost games against it. No different.

Do you jump to defend on jump shots?

Ahhhh doesn't everyone on this forum? What happens a lot of times is I'll start the game not contesting. But I've seen just this week alone people splashing 3's in my CPU face. So I've been contesting. But I always foul at least one shooter from 3 a game.

I started out with the meter off when the game first dropped. You get a higher margin for error with the meter off.

If your heavily Defended while using the shot meter it’s an miss 99% of the time. With the meter off, you can get more defended shots to go down.

And Minsta, it’s funny that your mentioning all this cheese such as playing the starting 5 the whole game and using all timeouts to get energy replenished in the 4th. I came across stuff like this a majority of the time in freshman. I have yet to see it since ranking up.

And funny thing is………….most of these opponents in these higher leagues are actually finishing the game

It’s literally like the higher up I’m going, the easier it’s getting. I mean look at these stats. And this is in the development league. Sheesh!!!!! IMG_0011.jpg

Lol……well when you hold opponents to percentages like that you’ll best damn near anybody……lol.

Keep posting your results as you climb the ladder and let’s see what goes down.

Re: Play Now Online: NBA 2K23

After getting my you know what handed to me in HOF the first three games (I was atleast able to salvage the 3rd game and stay in HOF). I got frustrated and skeptical without seeing anyones meter……

So I did an experiment. I turned on real player % for shooting to see what was up…..and strangely enough the meter was still there and it was shot timing ?? Isn’t the meter suppose to disable ??? Any else notice this ??

Or am I setting something wrong ? I went to controller settings and set shot timing to real player % not sure what else you have to do ??
