Just curious to see if anyone knew what/any differences there are between the 2 consoles with 2K23. I tried 2K22 on both last year (I have an LG CX) and to me, it looked a little more crisp on Series X. I’m debating which console to grab this on but I’m super pumped after reading so many good impressions today. Making me hyped for bball season!

Only 2 things should really sway your decision. Friends and controller preference. Go with the console your friends are on, if your solo pick the controller you prefer. 2K does a pretty good job of having parity between both systems.

I'd go with Xbox for Dolby Vision and Atmos.

If you care about MyPlayer Rec mode then I would be hesitant to get it on Xbox Series X.

In 2K22 there was a critical issue that would completely shut off your Xbox Series X in the middle of Rec games and it took MONTHS for it to be fixed.

There was also an entire thread here dedicated to the problem.

It took a literal Xbox console update from Microsoft to fix the issue and I don't trust that this won't happen again in 2K23.

The crappy part about it, was that I already purchased one of the higher 2K22 versions, and got deep into my MyPlayer build before I started playing Rec and saw the issue happen first hand. By that time it was too late for any refunds.

I'm going PS5 this year mainly because of this.

You sure? I thought PS5 was capable of Dolby Vision? Personally, I really don't see a difference in my graphics when I have it off or on.
