I remember watching a YouTuber named The Black Hokage years ago making a video when the new 2K games came out. Throughout his review after commenting on new features, he would say a continuous question, "What about those SERVERS though?".

I think he stopped playing it altogether because of the SERVERS. It's not enjoyable and it needs to be addressed and talked about on a higher level.

Here is the video of his 2K18 review. It's only 2 minutes 44 seconds.

It would depend on how many people are impacted by it. I see this complaint every year. Also, it would kind of depend on what you mean by latency and lag. For me, lag is where you are trying to control the character, and the character bouncing all over the place on screen. Latency, to me, is where you push the stick and there's a delay before the actual character moves on screen. For me, I believe there's latency for all games while lag is more about your internet connection.

Its Sad to see these design decisions in games what's even more sad tho is the acceptance of these shake down tactics from the majority of the community.

I see many people complaining about the prices while still handing over money to buy digital coins.

There will be no change while people are ok with spending 100s of extra dollars on builds and packs.

Re: 2K and EA Are Fumbling the Bag

I remember when 2K18 came out my friends kept telling me to go buy it so we can all play together, I lasted barely 2 days before I refunded the game. On day 1 everyone was level 72 by spending money on top of buying the game, and I realized the offline career mode also costed money to play. This is why I think NBA Live 18 is still a gem, I got it for $13 one month after it was released, yes $13. The fact that people are willing to throw half their bi-weekly salary at a game just to keep up is insane, thinking at you EA FIFA franchise.

I'm mainly an offline career mode player, buy the game and play it offline just fine, not with NBA 2K* these days, I'd end up doing what that guy in the Twitter video did, jump off a building. lol

Re: 2K and EA Are Fumbling the Bag

Madden is Madden. I gave up hope I’m that product about 10 years ago and legitimately stopped caring, at all, about 3 or 4 years back.

2K is interesting. This year’s experience has altered my perspective. I’m not sure I’m in the tax bracket this product is being made for.

I don’t take that personally. I think a lot of us are feeling a little tight in the pockets, given social issues. It’s okay if I can’t afford to play this game.

It is a curious thing though. Most other years I would make multiple players and would have given them the bread. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
