We all know that these guys aren't a priority - for either 2K or the fans - while most won't have a lengthy NBA career.

We have all seen the skill level of the 2k art team or lack there of with the attempt at Anthony Edwards. If it isn’t just importing a face scan they aren’t capable of creating an accurate lifelike render. Hence Lebrons face still looking like it’s 2016

Yeah, this is totally wrong and nonsense.

The Anthony Edwards render is much, much better than the previous (also 'hand drawn') one plus all the countless retro players 2K's art team has done without face scanning tech.

They'll always have a little 'uncanny valley' and won't look as detailed as that tech, yet doing renders for more unavailable guys is better than 40+ generic faces.

Or at least do the guys that have been on NBA rosters for multiple years that are still not scanned.

And LeBron's face scan - which you harp on endlessly - is that old and they've decided not to tweak it. Just like Giannis and other stars that only come in once - or never in the case of Ant and Westbrook - but never go back again.

So, yeah if 2K would let their art team tweak 'old' scans and make more renders for unscanned players it would be better for all console players.

I hate LeBrons face scan being super old but Anthony Edwards cyberface is so good i legit dont ever care for them updating it again (if he doesnt change his hair)

Re: Players with new face scans/tattoos in 2k25

A big update in the latest patch, particularly with rookies. The following now have face scans or renders:

- Cam Christie
- Cam Spencer
- KJ Simpson
- Pacome Dadiet
- Tristen Newton
- Antonio Reeves
- Karlo Matkovic
- Bobi Klintman
- Jon Mogbo
- Dillon Jones
- Terrence Shannon Jr

They've also finally given Aaron Wiggins his cornrows.

Aj Johnson, Baylor Scheierman and Tyler Smith have all been given their tattoos.

Jermaine Samuels and Nate Williams have both apparently had scans, but neither has been updated yet. Jalen Bridges has also had a scan, but he doesn't appear to have been added to the game roster yet (Suns 2-way player).

The patch notes said Castle has had a hair update, so not sure why it's not appearing yet.

I think he just got a 'dynamic hair' update meaning his hair now moves realistically.
