Where are the little things?
No more camera men? No more cheerleaders? No more mascots? No more highlights at the end of the game? No warm ups? No more changing the headband logo? Uploading your rosters instead of saving it? C'mon 2k I mean I love the game but gave up the little things that made it Stand out..hopefully everything can be patched in...Tags: None -

Re: Where are the little things?
A nice little thing is that the tim and and that of todays game looks exactly like it should, sorta like a double rim thing.
When you play in the old school arenas, you get the single rims, with the net holder things... it is great attn to detail...
I know this is a rant topic, but lets be for real here. Most of the other games are direct ports of current gen games with up-res graphics... Lets give 2K the true credit they deserve because they basically made a whole new game and took a lot of chances. It is not as full featured as last gen, but it has a ton of stuff for a launch title. 2K14 is truly next gen and plays as good if not better than it looks. I mean, look at how many calls you get on illegal or moving screens, where a guy thats not so good at setting a screen will lay you out, or more while screening or get mad and just push you down... there is a lot in there. I hate it for people that are not basketball fans, because this is the game to buy the system for.Comment

Re: Where are the little things?
I'm in no way saying 2k nor The Show are completely flawless gameplay wise. However, both games already have such great core gameplay without major glitches. I don't believe any other sports games have that at the present time. Unless you are a really hardcore player with great attention to detail, finding flaws in 2k and The Show are extremely hard to do. When great core gameplay is there, people need to be sucked in in different ways to keep their enjoyment up. Whether it's through adding little things, making improvements to owner mode or bringing back and improving upon association mode, or whatever else there may be. That's just the nature of it for most people, and it's not a bad thing. That's how games improve. Also with the amount of money, developers, and departments 2k has for this game, I find it very hard to believe that they cannot upgrade gameplay and add in little things at the same time.NHL-Minnesota Wild

Re: Where are the little things?
The little things are what make many people come back for more and not get bored with the game. When a game such as 2k or The Show already have such strong gameplay, those games need to pile on the little things to keep people interested year after year. 2k and The Show do a great job of that although after reading some of the impressions the little things just aren't quite as prevalent in next gen as they were on on current gen. When things are removed from Next Gen 2k14 that were in the current gen version, that's when people get angry. That's no doubt a legitimate gripe.

Those "dancing" 3Dshapes we're not cheerleaders; and I don't miss them.

Re: Where are the little things?
Well, we all know the reset button was hit for the majority of the game. I would bet few would disagree that mascots and cheerleaders are lower on the priority list than the players, refs, and coaches.Comment

Re: Where are the little things?
I honestly didn't realize mascots were gone until a few of you guys just said lol. I'm drooling too much on everything else.
Anyways, it would be nice to get them (and the cheerleaders) back next year (Or in a patch maybe?)Comment
