You can't edit attributes in MyGM.

I don't see you can edit shoes in Gear but the options do not include the shoes you create in shoe creator, at least on my game. How are you able to put shoes you create onto players on MyGM? How did you do it?

yes, i've put shoes i've created on in mygm. It's the same way you change shoes any other way
down at the very bottom in Gear

For me it only works for CPU generated players that come through the draft. The "real" players seem to be locked in to a very limited set of shoes.

That's probably because of endorsement contracts. The companies wouldn't like it if you put Adidas shoes on a Nike player.

What is the purpose of this? Why did they take that feature out? If this is there idea of immersion then color me unimpressed.

They don't want you to turn up your attributes and cheese against poor CPU.

At least you're able to edit player positions on your team, players like Bledsoe or Nate seem to get better attributes if their primary position is shooting guard.

Is that what they really said? This might be the last 2k game I get. They did this to All Pro football too.
