How do you play defense on this game

I was pretty good on 360. Now all of a sudden I can't play on ball defense on the xbox one version . The game penalize you for paying on ball and its impossible to rebound.

They have a number of things to fix, the spacing is really bad. The CPU prefers to not run plays and just pounds the paint. Rebounding is scripted, sliders help tho.

Rebounding is ********...My PG averages 11.8 since starting, and my SF career average is around 8...but my 7' C can't grab S***!!! I don't think its scripted, but the sliders do help in most game modes.

Most of the time, for me anyway, the CPU just spams 3's like crazy...granted my AI teammates LOVE to sag off the perimeter almost always...

They really need to fix the spacing, not every offense runs around the whole 24 seconds. Why isn't no one will stay with their assigned man, so frustrating having players play another man that's not their regularly assigned guy.

It's both really. The user teammate AI is so bad on defense they give up nothing but the best shots (at-rim and 3s). Which isn't helped by every player being able to make contested and acrobatic layups like Wade. I'm shocked when the CPU actually takes a mid-range shot (it's almost always at the end of the shot clock).
