Sliders/Setting save

if i load my game and my sliders dont load, are they gone forever? I know they are stored on a "server somewhere". its been fine the past few days, today i fired up a game and all of a sudden it was on pro casual. Im hoping the sliders I worked on and loved aren't gone forever.
