How do you make it so your guy can catch alleys? My guy can't do it.

you have to throw a self alley to yourself in a mycareer game first.

Well that's dumb. How do you throw a self alley lol? I know how to throw them to other people, but not to myself.

It's the same button command as a normal alley oop (L2 + square), except you have to point the left joystick straight at the backboard.

Started playing again & it's still 90% frustration. I made a C thinking he would be useful but I've found out most people (A) don't care to pass or (B) incredibly don't know how to throw an alley. Obvious that alot of players made PGs just to have the ball in MyCareer and not bc they are good at setting up teammates.

The easiest way is on a steal/fast break, and you do the alley-oop toward the backboard from a little behind the free throw line. I made sure to do this in the Rookie Showcase game before the draft. That's probably the easiest time to pull it off.
