I am horrible at defense. I can't cover my assignment at all. Is there an option to allow CPU to take over on defense and just allow me to play offense? I'm playing around with sliders but apparently my defense sucks so bad that even sliders can't fix it.

You can just learn how to play on ball defense. One of my tutorials, you may not like it but just in case you're looking for tips I have a channel.

try turning up the defensive assist maybe?

Pause the game and go to options, then go to controller settings.

Set defensive assist strength to 100 and shot contest to always.

I've done both and I still can't stay with my assignment. So there is no setting so when you let go of the controls that the CPU takes over?

Just control your center on defense.

No, if you're playing Quick Mode, or Association or something like that then you can pretty much just troll around the paint with your Center which is pretty easy to do.

Assuming you were talking about MYCareer though, no, there's no setting that lets the CPU take over on defense
