How much has the game changed since the release. Patch wise.

After watching all this playoff basketball I'm itching to play some nba hoops. I bought the game with my ps4 at launch. A couple months later I sold it. A couple things that drove my nuts was how much space defenders gave my players at the three point line and the main thing was after maxing out the CPUs defensive sliders it was way to easy to dribble back and forth until I always eventually got into the lane and then to the hoop. I guess in all I just wanted better CPU defense. Everything else was pretty solid. My question is, has all patches helped the gameplay. Mainly the CPU defense. Thanks

I think it's better. With sliders i've been playing the hell out of the NBA Today playoff games as well as my GM. Game still has issues but i enjoy it. Really my only huge issue is that i'm obsessive/compulsive with tweaking my sliders. It's a serious personal problem.

I don't play ranked matches or MyTeam online so i have no idea how that is.

I've pretty much given up on "NextGen" 2k14. In fact I traded it in for the PC version since I was gifted a pretty sweet PC and man O man I'm loving videogame bball again. And don't get me started with the modding side...OMG

Thanks for the replies. I grabbed it on Ebay for 38 bucks. Has the on ball d been improved at all.

I don't think the patches have done anything to note besides fix some obvious bugs outside gameplay.
