quick question?? Roster update question from new ps4 owner

Ok I just got a PS4 and I wanted to ask is downloading roster updates the same as last gen. Last gen updates were done by going into 2kshare and downloading the file. Does nx gen 2k14 have this same process? Because im lost right now......


Also let me add that I don't have my NBA today yet, but do I need nba today in order to get my roster updates. Also can we choose the date of the roster update in which it was given out?
